When reporting a bug, it helps enormously if you include your iPhone model, iOS version, the app version (You → Settings → About) and what you were doing when it happened.
Report illegal content (also without an account)
Anyone can report material they believe is illegal, including copyright infringement. You do not need a Munchii account. Email support@munchii.app with [Report] in the subject and include:
- The username and relevant recipe, comment, message or profile, with a link or other details that help us locate it.
- Why you believe the material is illegal. For copyright complaints, identify the work you own.
- Your name and email. You do not need to provide these identifying details for reports of suspected child sexual abuse material.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the information you have supplied is accurate and complete.
Email an illegal-content report
We confirm receipt, review reports within 24 hours, seven days per week, and send you the outcome where we have a way to contact you. An email report includes the sending email address even when you omit your name. If you see an emergency, contact your local emergency services first.
Common questions
My scan didn't pick up the recipe properly
Scanning works best on a flat, evenly lit, printed page with the recipe filling the frame. Crop tightly so only the recipe is inside the guides. If the result is still off, everything on the review screen is editable before you save — and anything Munchii wasn't sure about is highlighted in yellow. For handwriting, expect to correct a word or two.
My voice recording came out wrong
Record somewhere reasonably quiet, say quantities clearly ("two hundred grams", not "200g"), and pause briefly between steps. The live transcript shows what we're hearing as you speak, so you can stop and re-record if it's drifting. As with scanning, you can fix anything on the review screen.
Where did my unfinished recipe go?
If you left the editor and chose Keep draft, it's in Library → Drafts. Drafts are private to you.
How do I remove a recipe from a menu without deleting it?
Open the menu, then either swipe the recipe left and tap Remove, or use the ••• menu on the row. This only takes it out of that menu — the recipe stays in your library.
Can I use Munchii offline?
Recipes you've opened recently are available offline, and cook mode works without a connection. Scanning, voice capture and the feed need internet.
Why can't I publish my recipe?
Publishing needs at least a title, one ingredient and one photo. The hint under the Publish button tells you what's still missing.
How do I report a recipe, comment, message or person?
Tap the ••• menu on the recipe, comment or profile and choose Report, then pick a reason. You can also email a report. Reports are confidential. We review against our Recipe & Safety Guidelines within 24 hours, seven days per week, and send you a short outcome message. The reported person is told the applicable rule, not your identity. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile, tap ••• and choose Block. They won't be able to follow you, see your published recipes or comment on them, and you won't see their posts.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account in the app. If you'd rather export your data first, or you can't access the app, email support@munchii.app with subject [Privacy] from the address linked to your account. We reply within seven days.
We send a confirmation request to your account-linked address, including your Apple relay address if you use Hide My Email. Account deletion proceeds after you confirm your identity and request. See the Privacy Policy for retention, including report case records and saved-recipe references.
I disagree with a moderation decision
Reply to the message we sent you, or email support@munchii.app with subject [Report] within six months. A different person than the one who made the decision reviews it.
For copyright removals, there is also a separate seven-day counter-notice step.
Do you have an Android app?
Not yet — Munchii is iPhone-only (iOS 17 and later). Email support@munchii.app and we'll tell you when that changes.
